Guide for Reviewers

The International Journal of Theoretical & Applied Computational Intelligence (IJTACI) greatly appreciates the valuable contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality, integrity, and credibility of scholarly publishing. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, timely, and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers should:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and solely on their scientific merit.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and associated materials.
  • Provide constructive, evidence-based comments that assist authors in improving their work.
  • Submit reviews within the requested timeframe or promptly notify the editorial office if unable to complete the review.
  • Declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.
  • Refrain from using unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers should assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Scientific significance
  • Technical quality and methodology
  • Validity of results and conclusions
  • Organization and clarity of presentation
  • Adequacy and relevance of references
  • Compliance with ethical standards

Research Integrity

If reviewers identify suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated or falsified data, image manipulation, citation manipulation, or other ethical concerns, they should confidentially notify the Editor with supporting evidence.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, distribute, discuss, or disclose manuscript contents to any third party without prior permission from the Editor.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts or review materials to publicly accessible generative AI tools or use AI systems in a manner that compromises manuscript confidentiality. Any permitted use of AI must comply with the journal's confidentiality and ethical standards.

Recommendation

Reviewers should recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.
